Bellingham is Whatcom County’s largest city, with terrain composed predominantly of level land interspersed with rolling hills. The city’s climate is quite mild, with an average low of 42 degrees and an average high of 60 degrees.

Bellingham is becoming an industrial leader in Whatcom County and the Northern Puget Sound region. Already home to major international businesses, Bellingham’s ability to accomodate industry is greatly enhanced by the recent development of several major business parks. Bellingham manufacturers are well served by available transportation resources. Bellingham International Airport is a full service airport with flights on Horizon Airlines and Allegiant Air, plus air cargo on Federal Express.

Quality of life is a major factor in Bellingham’s success story. Within the city limits there are over 30 parks and recreation areas. There are many theaters and museums, including the Whatcom Museum of History and Art and the Northwest Children’s Museum.
